Bent brother I know you,
Heavy set, unready to go.
Tomorrow no longer rests in your hands,
Old man says its not in your hands.
Aint no thing gonna change that.
Your eyes have lingered too long,
Weighty whispers will guide you,
The sun has no place here,
The hole’s been dug for thousands deep.
Aint no fire gonna burn no more.
What hills and skies know your name,
What hate has gnawed the soil and deep blue,
Old grey man says he’s had enough.
Says your tracks are walked.
Aint no redemption in your day.
What price to pay for wingless pride,
‘You shined so bright’, says the old man.
‘But you aint no cowboy angel anymore’,
Souls have been swallowed by your void,
Aint got no time left for the fallen.
Old mans fiery blue eyes stare straight, rocking.
Smells the Earth and breaths out slowly.
‘I loved you boy, but you forgot yourself’.
‘This aint no place for you’ .
Aint gonna be a day like this again.
The sun wiped from the sky, stars fallen.
Trumpets blow, north, south, east and west.
Lucuis, bent, wretched and foul, blackened by deceit.
No word borne from his rotting mouth.
Aint no horde gonna save him now.
You're not bad at this you know.
